The 7 Day Experiment is an opportunity to connect with God through daily devotion by reading the Bible, journaling and blogging. Our goal for this experiment is for each of us to hear from God in His way.
Questions for Day 4: Wednesday, May 27: Mathew Ch 9 - 10
Simon was his given name. It's a very Jewish name, given to him by his parents. It's the same name as "Simeon" in the Old Testament. It literally means "heard" (as in a prayer "heard" by God) according to Genesis 29:33.
Jesus gave him his nickname "Rocky" (which means little stone). Like so many people in the Bible (including every Christian according to Revelation 2:17), God changed his name to represent a heart/life change.
